NATURE EXPERIENCE AND CONNECTION
'Nature and your movement in it holds up a mirror to you and at the same time helps you to be lovingly present and to stay with what is and what presents itself. The direction of the movement is largely determined by your intention. At that moment. We connect with nature in and around you. And go where your body goes. In the confidence that what stands in the way of the fulfillment of your wish or what you need for it will unfold automatically.'
Everyone knows the impulse to go to the forest or nature when it all becomes too much. We instinctively know what we need at that moment. We often feel deeply supported, sometimes even completely reborn, after some time in the forest or nature.
A stay in nature seems to nourish and stimulate us to the depths of our being. It is from these often spontaneous experiences of nature that the many wellness disciplines have emerged that use nature in a conscious way. Shinrin Yoku, Forest Therapy, Forest Yoga, Natural Mindfulness, .... One same nature, different names. They have in common the love for nature and restoring the connection with it. That is why I like to use the umbrella term nature experience and connection.
In the art of experiencing nature, harmony is the healing element. The more you can open up, the more you can receive this medicine. Through conscious experience you can establish, strengthen and deepen the connection.
In concrete terms, in this practice you will train and sharpen your senses. You switch them on consciously, as it were, and you start experimenting with them effectively. You observe everything there is to observe in terms of smells, colors, sensations, sounds and tastes. And in this game of perception you will continue to shift your focus.
The result of this is that you can stay in that observation mode more and more easily and for longer and that you learn to keep your inner focus moving without really wanting to grab, label or change anything from those observations.
When you spend some time in nature like this, you gradually move to deeper layers of yourself. This shifting creates openness and space in which everything that lives within you and is currently going on has a right to exist. If you can remain in that observing state and connected to nature, this brings you into close contact with your innate purifying capacity. The source place within yourself.
A guided nature connection session involves a slow walk through a forest, a park or simply the garden, where the connection with the place at that moment is leading. The experiment with the outer senses alternates harmoniously with the exploration of the inner life. Being aware of breathing, inner feeling and individual intention are tools that can be used to create a uniquely experienced nature connection.
